How
To Find The Better You
Take a moment to just look around at the people
closest to you. This can be your family, friends,
coworkers, or strangers on the street.
What do you see?
Dozens, perhaps hundreds, of people going about
their business. Some are really happy, others are doing
only what's asked of them, and the rest just hang on to
what's happening around them without much cause for
celebration.
Let's look even closer.
Can you imagine what might be the source for all
the variation we see in how people deal with their day to
day life? That's exactly the question that rose up in my
mind, “What about life makes people feel so vastly
differently on the inside?”
Here's how it looked to me. No matter who you
are, how you live, or where you live, you hold an inner
image of the person you are, and no matter what level of
success you've found in your life so far that view of
yourself is adjusted to conform.
That very personal image is what seems to matter
most when assessing the inner quality of your life, and
it's commonly suggested that this inner image is also the
secret blueprint for everything that eventually happens
in your life.
Research on the topic is abundant regarding how
our attitude for life affects the nature of the world
immediately around us. Few people ever think about how
that image might be used to change their attitude and
perhaps enhance the life they live.
A process of individual attitude adjustment is
exactly what I suggest as the method for how you might
find the better you. This process involves a number of
personal assessments and of course follow-up
actions.
Everywhere you look in life, you'll see that if
you want to improve something and make it quite a bit
different, you need to consider how that series of tasks
might be completed over a period of
time.
In its simplest terms, you determine what's not
working, identify what changes are needed, and then focus
on doing only those things that bring you the results you
want. For me, that's really how simple life can be, if
you work each day to get you there and then to keep you
there.
To find the better you, you'll want to gather
your thoughts and apply them in a more global sense. This
methodology allows you to focus on changes needed in one
area while feeling confident that achieving those short
term goals are contributing to your overall life
success.
In the process to find the better you, I've
identified areas that for most people seem not to be
working as well as they'd like, at least most of the
time. They include such things as mood swings, anxiety
and panic attacks, addictions, procrastination, constant
stressors, and intense headaches.
The first couple steps you'll take are expected
to minimize the areas affecting you the most, including
your inner image, and eliminate them if at all possible.
This involves identifying what's not working, and then
you'll be pursuing techniques intended to deal with them
once and for all.
Those change processes ought to include focus
into such life areas as managing your metabolism,
understanding how your thoughts affect your life, stress
management programs, eliminating toxins from your body,
and ways of enhancing your nightly sleep
inventory.
When these processes are completed, it's time to
move your life into places where excellence is the only
choice you'll make for what rules your daily
life.
In the final “what's working” phase, you'll
explore techniques for finding your life passion, look at
getting organized and using time management effectively,
set life goals that actually work for you, and position
yourself for living a much different and happier
life.
The techniques used to find the better you might
over time become your own personal road map for finally
living the life you've always wanted. Of course, your own
efforts are what actually determines the success you
eventually make happen in your life.
Learning to find the better you is seldom an
easy journey, when the challenges of daily life seem to
block you at every turn. Having reliable resources around
you to support and guide you along the way might be worth
looking for.
Only you know how tough your life situation can
get at times.
The economy goes into the tank. Jobs head south
with little hope of ever coming back to your town. That
new program to help out seems to exclude you. Sadly,
these are times that demand you seek other strategies to
support and enhance your life.
Perhaps, it's time for you to consider your next
move.
Are you pleased with the direction you are
heading? Do you have personal challenges that misdirect
your energy? Do you just need a little more detail about
how to finally take control of your
life?
The human mind is awesome in what it can create
when proper measures are applied. So much awaits those
who break free of their old limiting patterns.
Contemplate a moment for yourself if you're finally ready
for making real changes in your life.
